Base wants to congratulate Roy Shvartzapel who was just awarded with the title of one of the Top Ten Pastry Chefs in the U.S. by Dessert Professional Magazine! The event was held at the Institute of Culinary Education in Chelsea and hosted many recognizable food writers, editors, and chefs. Roy has worked for the finest restaurants including Cyrus, Bouley Bakery, elBulli, Pierre Herme, and Bouchon.

We are proud to be collaborating with Roy on his new venture, Common Bond, opening in Houston, Texas this fall. With an array of mouth-watering delights, Common Bond’s mission is to bring high quality food to all. Congrats again Roy!
