« New york Biotopes » is a new animation and motion graphics short made by Lena Steinkühler who is a graphic design student from Dortmund, Germany : lena steinkuehler

New York Biotopes
The short shows NYC suddenly coming alive, filled with plants and creatures that change forms, adapting to the environment through technology.
It mixes real footage, motion graphics and design into a small video filled with invention, originality and emotion. All of this in support of natural living spaces.

Lena Steinkühler transforms Grand Central with traffic lights blooming into flowers, and stacks the yellow and orange seats of the subway to form stalks of flora. These organic forms invite new ways for viewers to interpret the city.
