A beer trifecta, courtesy of Shane Welsh, owner Sixpoint Craft Ales

I was having brunch on Saturday with my wife and young son at one of our favorite spots, Prime Meats in Carroll Gardens. Who should walk by but Shane Welsh, owner of the glorious Sixpoint brewery. “Hey Geoff, I’m on my way to Boston for a beer festival, but I had to stop by and drop off some of our new four packs for my friends here at Prime Meats!” “Say what, Shane? You’re finally offering beer outside of kegs?” “We are,” he said proudly, “and this Righteous Rye is the best we’ve ever brewed! Wanna give it a try?” and with that, Shane dumped a variety pack of four packs upon us. The beer gods had finally answered my prayers.

p.s.: Shane also mentioned they are opening up a tasting station at their brewery in Red Hook. Yet another reason to visit one of the coolest neighborhoods in Brooklyn.
