Angel Vergara dates Base for the 54th Venice Biennale

Art as common denominator. Artist Angel Vergara and BaseDesign Brussels don’t need more reasons for a cross-pollination. A professional cooperation is what resulted from this shared interest. A wonderful exhibition and an impressive catalogue is what you get when both do what they do best.

Angel Vergara will be the proud representative of Belgium in Venice from June 4 till November 27 2011 with his creation called ‘Feuilleton’. This project, applied to the current society, is based on the seven sins which will prevail the Belgian pavilion for a few months. ‘Feuilleton’ refers to the many paintings you can discover in the pavilion. Besides  that it adverts the idea of infinite possibilities.

This cooperation is an honour for Base and so we try to design nothing less than an international wanted catalogue for Vergara. With a focus on his exhibited work, the catalogue also provides an overview of Vergara’s creations.
