One of the wonderful things about having a cell phone with an integrated camera is that you can shoot a picture anytime you see something worth photographing. (Well, as long as you haven’t forgotten your phone.) At any rate, we saw these restaurant signs close to home, in Barcelona, and wanted to share them with you. Because food will always better if there’s a beautiful lettering in the entrance.
We love hand-painted lettering but unfortunately it’s not as easy as it used to be to find samples in streets of Barcelona. Old school simply is not hip anymore. Now everything is computer-made, often with a bad typographic choice and ugly colors. We’re still hoping that some old guy will teach the new generation of designers how to use just their hands and a brush to make beautiful signs.
