East Pleasant seizes the moment
Today, January 22nd, forty-odd police officers stampeded our building. A bank robber who had minutes before held up the HSBC just around the corner had tried to seek refuge in our building. Apparently it was easy to spot him entering here at 158 Lafayette due to the red dye pack that had exploded all over his face. New York’s finest chased him in while throngs of onlookers gathered in the street.
Our downstairs neighbors, East Pleasant Productions, jumped (more quickly than we did!) at the opportunity to get creative amidst the chaos by projecting “East Pleasant is Innocent!” on the empty billboard across the street.
Kudos, guys. Well done.
